Trevor Noah brilliantly takes issue with the casting of Joseph Fiennes as Michael Jackson. Fiennes defends the casting, arguing that Jackson was probably “closer to [his] color than [Jackson’s] original color” in a stunning display of a lack of basic social-awareness.

Marvel CEO Ike Perlmutter has donated $1M to Donald Trump’s Thursday-night veteran’s fundraiser, ostensibly in support of America’s troops. This is probably not the kind of PR that Marvel Comics or Marvel Studios wants.

In other Marvel news, Delroy Lindo has been cast to play Dominic Fortune in the pilot episode for the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. spinoff series Marvel’s Most Wanted. On the one hand, I really love Delroy Lindo; on the other hand, I don’t think there’s a power on this earth that could compel me to watch a show about Lance Hunter of my own free will.

The actor who will portray Danny Rand (a.k.a Iron Fist) has already been cast and his identity is being kept secret, according to Marvel’s Luke Cage‘s Mike Colter. Colter was vague on whether or not Cage and Rand would meet before The Defenders crossover, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him put in a cameo appearance in the upcoming Luke Cage series.

Artist Diego Gomez recasts X-Women as Disney Princesses.

Barbie at long last adds a diverse array of body types to its lineup with the introduction of curvy, tall, and petite dolls—all of which will be available alongside the original Barbie in a wide-range of skin and eye color combinations starting in the spring.

  1. I Love that Barbie finally is showing at least some size diversity… While it still has a way to go in inclusion, I am Mightily Impressed with this new expansion. I hope they become popular enough to remain on the shelves & to continue to inspire positive change! ❤
